Somewhere in the world, right now, an aorta is tearing. One in three dissections is misdiagnosed at first contact. For Type A dissection, mortality without surgery is 1–2% per hour. Time is not a background variable — it is part of the disease.
This symposium exists because the next advance in aortic care will not be one device, one scan, or one guideline. It will be the system — and building it demands every specialty, every country, and every person in the chain of care, in the same room.
